Old Post Office

This Stone Drug Store was built for the druggist, John M. Hutchinson. The Jewell County Diamond of May 13, 1876 reported that "work is begun on the new Stone Drug Store." It was located just north of the bank on the east side of the street. I do not know when it was torn down off the top of my head and am not sure if I have that information.

The picture is from Photographic Views of Jewell, Kansas. This is a collection of photos taken by E.V. King and printed in 1910. Linda Woerner supplied this image.
